Business Principles

Corporate reputation is a valuable asset like brands and employees. We aim to earn a reputation for conducting our business operations with integrity and with respect to all those whom our business activities affect directly or indirectly. To attain this reputation, UCX requires highest standard of behaviour- consistency from employees.

Creating a successful and sustainable business is equally important, thus we have to strike a fine balance between short and long term interests. It also means caring about our customers, market participants, shareholders, business partners and employees.

We expect our employees to adhere to the following business principles:

  • Conduct: Honesty and integrity are the pre-requisites along with respect for colleagues and interests of our business partners.
  • Compliance:  Exchange business is highly regulated and compliance driven. We expect everyone to comply with the rules and regulations set by the regulators and UCX.
  • Business Integrity: UCX expects its employees use good judgement and high ethical standards in all business dealings. No employee should accept or receive any gift, entertainment or payment which could reasonably be considered improper. Any demand for, or offer of, a bribe or personal favour must be rejected immediately and reported to management.
  • No Conflict of Interests: All employees of UCX are expected not to engage themselves in such personal activities and financial interests which could conflict with their responsibilities to the company.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Strict compliance with these principles is essential. UCX board is responsible to ensure that these principles are adhered.
Any breach of UCX principles must be reported in accordance with the procedures specified by the Exchange.
